Benefit Cosmetics // New and Old Favourites

Happy Thursday! Well today is my dissertation submission day, yippee! It's been such a long time coming, if you've been to university you'll know the stress these massive projects cause. But anyway, it's over now and what's to be is to be. I just feel massively relieved and like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm sure you guys will be thrilled when I stop rambling about boring university work, haha!

I've made a few new purchases recently (sorry bank account), and I thought it would be nice to do a brand-specific beauty post, mainly because they're my favourite and secondly because i'm trying to get my sh*t together so fashion and lifestyle posts have gone out of the window for a bit. So here it is, my rundown of some new and old favourites from Benefit Cosmetics!

I've been on the hunt for a nice brow pencil which isn't too extreme for everyday, natural-ish looks. This is definitely a lovely product and as the name suggests, it would be great for those who are beginners at filling in and shaping brows. The formula is really nice, it lasts all day and your brows stay in place. I do like my brows quite dark so this is a little lighter for my liking, but I think the formula is so good.

The shape of the product makes it really easy to create fine hair like strokes, but it's also thick enough to fill in your whole brow. It comes with a little brush on the end which makes it the ideal pencil for travelling with. It is completely different to the way a pomade looks, but if you're looking for a product which creates a full, natural looking brow then this is perfect.

Ohhh how I have been drawn to this since it launched. I honestly love the peachy tones with the gold flecks, i'm completely in love. I think this product would work well on all skin tones, but for a pale girl I can confirm that this does look beautiful on. It's really easy to build and leaves you with a gorgeous peachy, gold tinted glow. I picked up the mini as opposed to the full size because it's really handy for travelling, and also it's nice to have a smaller version first in case you don't like the product or it doesn't suit you for whatever reason. This is definitely going to be my go-to Summer blusher.

Did I really need another highlighter? No, not really but honestly I just couldn't resist this outrageously pretty product. I love the light pink undertone to this and it really does twinkle when it's on your skin. It does have flecks of glitter in, but nothing too dramatic. It does create a really nice, subtle glow but one which is easy to build up without being chalky and stripey. (You know which look i'm talking about.)

I have spoken about this before in a blog post, which i'll leave a link to here, but I really love this concealer. It covers everything really well, particularly dark circles and red patches, and it lasts such a long time without going cakey. Although there isn't a good shade range and it is quite pricey for the amount of product, the formula is really good and works so well on all skin types. I use this on both oily patches and dry patches of skin on my face and it works so well on both.

Overall, i'm really happy with everything i've bought from Benefit. I love everything about the brand from the packaging, to the formulas. I definitely would consider this a more luxury brand, I know there are obviously products which are more expensive, but these aren't the same price as bits you get if you're popping into your local Superdrug. However, I do think that the price range is very fitting because the quality of product you get, is amazing and definitely worth it.

Have you ever tried anything from Benefit?!
