Zoeva Classic Eye Brush Set // An Honest Review

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

In case you haven't noticed, my blog schedule now consists of new posts coming every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Personally I love having more of a schedule now as it means I can be more organised and productive in my planning.

Anyway, today's post is going to be all about my Zoeva classic eye brush set. So, if you're interested in hearing my honest thoughts, keep reading...

I bought this brush set quite a while ago from Beauty Bay and they cost £38.00, this includes the 6 brushes and this cute little zip up pouch.

A lot of the Zoeva brushes are cruelty free and suitable for vegans, however this doesn't stand for all of their brushes as some of them are made from goats hair, including some in this set. Although they do state that this is all naturally sourced, no animals are harmed whilst collecting the hairs, just be aware of this.

So, I'm going to go through each of the brushes and tell you what I think of each one before rounding it off with whether or not I think this set is good value/worth it.

227 Soft Luxe Definer
I love this brush as it's absolutely fantastic for blending, the fluffiness of it really lets you blend easily although it might seem quite 'big' it really does an effective job.

231 Luxe Petit Crease Brush

This brush is the perfect size and shape for blending out the crease colour, whilst still getting that precise look. It picks up pigment really well and doesn't hold on to the colour.

234 Luxe Smokey Shader Brush

I do absolutely love this brush, it's incredibly soft and amazing at picking up pigment, particularly those shimmery shades. I find myself reaching for this brush a lot and think that it packs on colour really well.

Fine Liner Brush

I've tried this once although I'm so used to my Kat Von D tattoo liner that I don't find myself reaching for this brush at all. I'm sure if I used a gel liner regularly then I would use this one.

Wing Liner Brush

Now, I actually use this brush for my brows, it's absolutely amazing and precise! It works amazingly with a brow pomade, but it also works really well with a brow powder. It's precise and packs on the product really well.

Brow Line Brush

I actually wish I used this brush more but I just don't use it unless i'm going all out with my makeup and doing quite a heavy look. It does its job well however I just don't use it that much.

I do love these brushes and I use most of them regularly, however, I do think this set is quite pricey for 6 brushes. I've washed them a few times and they do wash well and don't lose their 'shape' or fluffy texture, however given that the 3 main brushes (234, 227 & 231) are goats hair, I would expect them to be quite good quality.

I do think these brushes perform really well, however I believe that you can get synthetic brushes, for a much more reasonable price which do just as good of a job as these do.

These brushes are really good, don't shed and perform really well so if these are in your price range then i'd say go for it and try them out, however if these are a little too expensive for you then there are definitely more affordable options out there which do a really good job too.

Let me know if you have any favourite makeup brushes! Have you tried any of the Zoeva ones yet?

  1. The set does sound good if you're looking for an all in one, especially the petit crease brush. I do agree with you though that you can get so many different eye sets now for that amount, that it definitely makes you think twice about whether you're getting value for your money x

    Velvet Blush

    1. I think it's a nice starter set if you're not sure what brushes you are looking for, but yes, there's definitely so many more affordable ones out there now x
