Botanics // Brand First Impressions *

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a fab week so far! I'm going to Pizza Express today as my beautiful friend Georgina is going to be moving to London to go to drama school so a farewell meal and some cocktails are in order!

Today I wanted to discuss my new role as a Botanics ambassador, what it means and to give you an honest first impressions of their products.

I was kindly asked by Botanics if i'd like to be one of their 150 blogger ambassadors, and I kindly accepted as I love the brand, I love their ethics and I love the idea of promoting a cruelty free and amazing company.

I feel like I do need to justify myself as there has been a lot of negativity surrounding this role due to the fact that I have to post a certain amount of times about the brand a month and all this is done for free. Personally, I do not have a problem with this as blogging is my hobby and as a freelancer I should be able to choose what work I do for free. So, now that's out of the way I'll get on with the best bit of this post.

This year I've really gotten into face sprays and mists, it started out as I tried one from Lush and I find them so soothing and refreshing. Although they aren't a necessity in my skin care regime I do love them. I love this face spritz as it acts as a toner without you having to rub it all over your face, and that's a good thing if you're like me and have sensitive skin. I also love that this is made purely from organic ingredients so you don't get any horrid chemicals. It's not too heavily scented, it has a light floral scent to it which isn't overpowering.

I absolutely love the texture of this cream, it's not thick and it absorbs really quickly which is perfect for the morning as you don't have to wait around for it. Again, it has a very subtle floral, fresh scent. This is filled with essential fatty acids so it's perfect for dry and damaged skin. Again, this product is filled with all natural products so you don't have to worry about any nasty chemicals being in this.

I was immediately drawn to this product as I generally have quite dull skin so anything to 'brighten' it up is something i'm interested in. A little goes a long way of this product and it absorbs really quickly whilst leaving your skin with a really nice, glowy sheen to it. It has a faint, fresh scent to it and like the rest of the products isn't overpowering at all. It's incredibly soothing on the skin which is perfect if you have sensitive skin like mine. This is designed to be used as a primer, or just on it's own.

Now if you've read some of my other skincare posts you'll know I hate really rough exfoliators on my face. I have incredibly sensitive skin so I need something more gentle and this is absolutely perfect. It's infused with particles of walnut shell and crushed apricot seeds and it smells amazing. I love that this has immediate results and leaves your skin feeling nourished and soft after just one use.

Of course these are just my first impressions, I've generally only used these products once so far but I can already tell this is a skincare brand which i'm going to absolutely love. I'm always on the hunt for affordable, yet effective products to add to my skincare collection. I love the fact that this brand is cruelty free and a huge amount of their ingredients are organic and naturally sourced. They don't fill their products with alcohol or add a tonne of fragrances to them which is something I love.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know whether you've tried anything, or would try anything from Botanics!
