Where I find My Inspiration

Hello everyone I hope you're all having an amazing week so far. I can't believe I'm so far already into my first semester back at uni, the time is going way too quickly!

Anywaaay, today I thought i'd go through where I find my inspiration from, this isn't just exclusive to blog inspiration, but also for everyday life like fashion, beauty etc. Sometimes it's such a struggle to blog three times a week, and especially when you're dry on ideas it can become so challenging. Recently i've tried to be more active in finding new ideas and finding platforms which inspire me, so I thought i'd share them with you!

 Magazines

I don't tend to buy magazines every month, I personally looove September issues as I feel that that's where most magazine companies try their hardest and the content is always on top form. I do however love flicking through magazines, whether that's fashion or home ones, just to get a feel for what the current trends are, how they're doing their photos and just to see what kind of content i'm drawn to.

Websites

I know, I know... 'Websites' is kind of vague, and that's because I visit so many different genres of websites to get inspiration. Whether that's for my uni course, or whether it's visiting other blogs to admire their content, I think it's important to keep up to date with current trends and the internet is an amazing place to do that.

 Pinterest

Oh my goodness if you've never used Pinterest, you're missing out big time. It's got such a huuuge database of photos for everything that you can really see what sort of styles you're into, whether that's for interior, fashion, beauty or well, anything you like! I love that it has such a variety of content on there and I love looking through all the beautiful photos, I always leave Pinterest feeling not just inspired, but motivated to improve my content!

Books

Every once in a while a book will get released which really intrigues me, i'm not talking about fictional story books, but more non-fiction, real life stories. When I read 'It' by Alexa Chung it just really left me feeling kind of empowered and motivated, same goes to 'How to be Parisian' and 'Girlboss'. It's just so refreshing to see things from another perspective and to delve into someone else's world.

Other People

Now, i'm not saying that if you really love something you should directly copy it without credit, no, no, no. If you truly love something and feel inspired by it, of course you should peruse that but put your own personal spin on it. This could be for blog posts, fashion, makeup looks. It's only natural to feel inspired by other people but make sure everything you do has your own personal element to it, there's no point in trying to be someone else.

There are so many other platforms out there to be inspired from, whether that's through social media, television or any other forms of media, getting information from different perspectives definitely helps and not only inspires you, but also motivates you.

Let me know what's left you feeling inspired recently! I hope you all have an amazing rest of the week!

  1. I love Pinterest as well. For makeup looks, I also like to check out Youtube tutorials. Great post!
