Autumn Bedroom Wish List // Creating A Cosy Bedroom

Hello lovely people, I hope you're all having a fabulous day so far. Honestly, I can't believe how quickly this week is going!

Today I wanted to share with you my Autumnal bedroom wish list and my top tips for creating the perfect, cosy space. If you're looking for some affordable, yet amazing products don't worry, i'm going to be sharing lots with you, particularly from The Yorkshire Linen Co, if you've never heard of them definitely check them out as they do some gorgeous bed linens and bedroom accessories.

So first up, I've put together a little wish list specifically from The Yorkshire Linen Co, as they do some absolutely beautiful bedroom bits and pieces. Some of these products are essential for creating a peaceful, cosy environment which is ideally what you need when you're going to bed.

1. My absolute favourite types of pillows are duck feather pillows, I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but honestly I think they are just so comfortable and so good for your neck. These one's are an absolute steal at £14.99, so if you're looking for a pair of new pillows have a peep at these.

2. I think that a lovely, mustard yellow is so appropriate for Autumn time. There's not too many bright colours in this wish list as personally, I love a light, calm bedroom with lots of white. This cushion is £8 which is so reasonable and, it's gorgeous.

3. Next up is another beautiful cushion, I love this subdued grey shade with the brighter yellow around the edge. I think this just adds another element to your bed and cushions definitely create that important, cosy feel.

4. If you don't own a mattress topper, i'm sorry but you're missing out big time. It's not only important to have a good mattress, but it's also important to ensure that your bed is really doing it's job because you don't want to end up with a bad back. This mattress topper is hotel standard and looks amazing.

5. I absolutely love throws and blankets over my bed, I think they not only look amazing, but they're so comfortable and cosy when it starts to get colder in Autumn time. I am obsessed with this throw and the tassels at the edges, I just think it will look gorgeous over any bed, whether that's a single or a double one.

6. Finally, you can't go wrong with beautiful, simple bed linen. I personally love white bed sheets as they just make me feel so calm, which is just what I need when i'm going to sleep. I love that these ones have a slight embellishment to them, I think that it adds to their design and doesn't make them look as 'plain'. For more options you can check out Yorkshire Linen’s king size duvet sets with both embellished and non-embellished options.

I think having a cosy, inviting bedroom is essential, not just for Autumn but for all year round. But it is nice to change up your room for each season, as sometimes in Summer you don't need as many 'cosy' items as it's much warmer.

An Autumnal Candle: This time of year is the best for scents in my opinion, regardless of whether you like sweet or woody scents there will be something available to warm up your room and make it super cosy. This incense and embers one from Jo Malone would be perfect!

A Comfy Chair: If you don't have a separate office space, it's nice to have somewhere to sit down and relax in a peaceful environment which isn't your bed. A cosy chair adds a nice, cosy yet sophisticated vibe to the room. This one is the most gorgeous colour from Joy Bird.

A Lamp: I honestly hate really bright lights in your bedroom, unless you have a designated makeup light. Before bed I like to feel as relaxed as possible and by having a smaller, warmer lamp it just adds that perfect Autumn element to your room. This one from Wilko is absolutely gorgeous, I love the creamy blue with the gold elements to it.

Cushions/Rugs: Cushions add such a cosy element to any room, I love that you can add so much colour and life to your room just through your selection of cushions. I personally love fluffy ones as then I can use them to lay on, not just for decoration. This one from Amazon is an absolute bargain and gorgeous! I also love that a rug has the same effect as cushions do, especially if you have wooden flooring a rug is a lovely, cosy element to add to any room. This lamb fur throw rug from Century 21 looks absolutely stunning.

Mirror/Bed Throw: I think a mirror just adds a nice effect to any room, I love this small rose gold one from Oliver Bonas as I think the colour is just so beautiful. I also think bed throws are absolutely essential as not only do they look beautiful, they're also incredibly handy for colder nights! This one from Serena and Lily is definitely the priciest throw I've ever seen, but it honestly looks amazing.

So there you have it, there's some of my essential bedroom items for Autumn and some of my tips on what to add to make it a cosy, warm environment.

Let me know if there's any bedroom essentials you have or whether you're looking to invest in some new pieces or not. I hope you have an amazing rest of the week!
