My Top 5 Current Skincare Proudcts

Hello everyone, I hope you've all had a fabulous week. I honestly don't have much planned for the weekend but I really need to get on and do a stationery shop to go back to uni as time is going a lot faster than i'd like!

Today i'm going to run through my top 5 current products in my skin care routine. I know that there's only two brands included in this and that's because, well, I only use these two brands for my skin care. Aside from face masks, it takes a lot for me to trust a brand and find something which works for my skin. I've had a lot of bad experiences with my skin in the past and it just takes me a lot of research and trial and error to find something which works for me.

BOTANICS: Hydrating Day Cream

So it takes me some time to find a moisturiser that I love, and when I do find that product, I stick to it. I don't like change in my skin care routines because i'm so conscious that my skin is very spot-prone and i've had some really bad experiences with products flaring my skin up in the past. I absolutely love this moisturiser though, it just sinks in my skin straight away and leaves it feeling so nourished. I like that it feels like you haven't got anything on, as I hate that tacky, sticky feeling some products leave you with. I couldn't recommend this product more and this is totally usable for all skin types.

 BOTANICS: Purifying Face Scrub

I used to hate 'rougher' face scrubs however, this one is so perfect. It contains particles of walnut shell and crushed apricot seeds and it smells amazing. It's not heavily fragranced which I love, and it leaves your skin feeling so fresh and clean. I have suffered recently with dry, flakey skin which started to impact my makeup and how my foundation looked, however, after using this my skin is back to being glowy and healthy looking. I tend to use this product a few times a week and I like to use it at night.

 BOTANICS: Refreshing Toning Spritz

I absolutely love face mists, there's something about them which is so refreshing. I absolutely love this one by botanics as it's really hydrating and doesn't dry out your skin. I also love the fact that normally with a toner, you have to rub it over your face and with this one you just spray it and let it sink it. I don't end up rubbing it into other products and looking like a tomato. I love to use this morning and night and it's definitely a must-have in my collection.

 B. COSMETICS: Melting Gel Cleanser

I absolutely looove this skincare range, it's fragrance and alcohol free and it's the perfect dupe of the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. This takes off your makeup so nicely, even when you have eyelash glue residue left on your eyes it gently melts everything away, and you don't have to rub your face a lot, it literally just slides away. I like to use this morning to cleanse my face and get rid of any oils, and I like to use it at night to take off all my makeup. It's such a low-cost product and it works wonders on my skin.

B. COSMETICS: Glycolic Cleansing Peel

At first I was a bit dubious about using this product, the words 'Glycolic acid' and 'peel' were quite intimidating to me. However, I was so overwhelmed at this product and I absolutely love it. I use this once a week, it's a 3 minute face mask and it's so creamy and nourishing it works wonders. It's very mild and not strong at all but it really gets in all your pores and helps to cleanse and nourish your face. It makes such a nice addition to my skin care routine and I definitely feel this leaves my skin so fresh and healthy looking.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I love using on my skin, I know there's not too much variety in terms of brands but the products are all very different and unique. I like to use products which actually make a difference and work rather than using something which has no effect.

Let me know if you have any skincare holy grails, I'm on the lookout for some new brands to experiment with so let me know your favourites! Have a lovely weekend everyone!
